First Lady

As a high school freshman Laura aspired to play in the Jazz Ensemble. That it was made up entirely of senior boys seemed not to have any effect on her at all. Intimidating was not in her vocabulary. S he showed up at the the right time and place, tried out and made a place for herself as the first girl and the first freshman to play in the Jazz Ensemble.

    O.K. Let me check and get back to you...the Gavel yearbook of 1976..that is Warren Matson. But I think it is Maurice Pitofsky next to Warren, not Paul Zych.
